A Sweet Visit

Sarah (the adorable blonde), Lauren (the adorable brunette) and I.
I recently had the opportunity to visit a good friend while I was out of town for work.   (Yep, an entire hotel bed to MYSELF!  In my defense, I missed the boys dearly!) I was in Massachusetts, she was in Connecticut.  Close enough, right?   Anyway, my dear friend Kate and I always look forward to the opportunity to see each other, even more so now because we are both mommas to multiples.  Kate had two beautiful girls, Sarah and Lauren, just about 6 months before the boys were born.   It's so cool to have such good friends in the same boat that we are in (...and for those of you that don't know, my bestie who lives 10 minutes away also has twins.)  I refer to these moms as my Twin Senseis.   They are my go-to's when I have troubles or questions about raising two kids the same age...and it's also fun just to chat and share a few laughs with them from time to time.
Kate just emailed me this photo she took of me and the girlies- I forgot she took it.   I LOVE it.  Her girls are beautiful, smart and oh-so-funny.  During my brief visit, they serenaded me with the National Anthem (their favorite song - seriously, they knew it word for word!), hopped around like frogs, waddled like penguins and the best part happened after I was headed home the following day.  On Saturday morning, Kate said they woke up and asked, "Momma, where my friend?"
Seriously.  Too sweet.
I know I've been absent for a while.  I have lots to share with you, I just can't seem to find the time.  Soon, I hope.

  1. Nice to have friends in the same boat as you! Glad you got to get away and see a friend to boot! Sounds like fun!

Show me some love! (That means leave a comment, if you please!)
