Race for the Cure, 2011

Forgive me for not being around lately.  Since summer finally showed up in western NY, I've found myself in front of the laptop less and less. Throw a new iPhone into the mix and who even needs a computer?

With that being said, this is a short, but important post.  I need to tell you how many amazing people I have in my life and how I'm lucky and blessed to know each and every one of them.

I was blown away by the turnout at the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure breast cancer 5K this weekend.  I was even more surprised at how many came out to support the team that I created in celebration of my breast-cancer-surviving Mother-In-Law, Dottie.  I was shooting for 10 participants and got 30.  We even managed to raise a few bucks for the cause.

Thanks to all who walked, ran, donated and cheered us on.   I thank you 100 times and more!

Presenting, team Dottie's Hotties:
Our team tent. Go, Dottie's Hotties!

  1. This is awesome! Thanks for sharing! You should be very proud! Very sweet pic of PopPop and the boys too!

  2. Good for you! I just LOVE the name "Dottie's Hotties"! Glad that Dottie is doing well, and that you were able to raise money.

Show me some love! (That means leave a comment, if you please!)
