Jar of Stars

I keep a spice rack in my craft room (yes, a spice rack) and each little container is filled with little crafting goodies.  Tiny buttons,  fancy shaped paper clips, pastel paper brads, and stars.
Lots of gold stars.
Today the boys reached over the baby gate and grabbed the jar of stars.   Normally, I chase after them and grab whatever they aren't supposed to have, but this time, I ran for the camera.

**A jar of stars**
They were mesmerized.
Andrew started out with the jar, and Wesley's interest grew until he snagged it and took off with it.  It was like they were seeing Christmas lights for the first time.
I think everyone should have a jar of stars ;)
Andrew offers me the remote in exchange for letting him keep the star jar.
Holding on tight.
Really tight.
Wesley goes in for the steal.
Wesley takes off with the coveted jar of stars.
Andrew chases after the star thief.
Wesley keeps a tight grip on the jar of stars.
Ready to share the stars again.

  1. That's one of the things I have come to love most about being a parent - discovering the wonder in simple every day things.

I can't believe they didn't try to open the jar. It would have taken my twin tornadoes just seconds to have the jar open and a trail of stars trailing in their wake.

  2. So cute, I have boy/girl twins and they keep me VERY busy.
