{Think Pink} Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Free BCA party circle printable courtesy of The TomKat Studio.

Do I check myself regularly? Yes.
Did I know, before this year, that October was Breast Cancer Awareness month?  No.
Did I ever expect the "Big C" to hit so close to home?  No.
Am I scared out of my mind?  YES.

This morning, someone very near and dear to me lost her left breast to cancer.  Everything happened so fast.  A routine mammogram showed abnormalities, the cancer was confirmed, treatment plans were discussed, tests were run, more cancer was discovered.

This woman is a very strong woman and I know she'll pull through this.
She is determined and courageous.
She won't back down without a fight.
She is a survivor.

In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month, Kim over at The Tomkat Studio is offering these fabulous free printable party circles (Thanks, Kim!  You're the breast... I mean, BEST!).  So bake some cupcakes, decorate them and share them with your mom, your sister, your girlfriends, your aunt and your grandma as a reminder to check yourself monthly for anything out of the ordinary.

It could save your life.

  1. So sorry to hear about your friend. Sending good vibes your way. Scared here too. Lots of history in my family and just had a scare with the mother in law as well. It's hard not to worry, but all you can do is try to live a healthy life and watch for anything out of the ordinary. Yay for breast cancer awareness month.

  2. It is so scary. I am so sorry about your friend. Cancer is horrible. The kids & I were just in NY for my stepbrother's (Elaine's son) funeral. Lung cancer at 40. So terribly sad. It was a quick trip or else I would have loved to meet up.

Thank you for sharing the file! I hope all is well. Your photo wall idea for the boys is genious!

    Miss you,

Show me some love! (That means leave a comment, if you please!)
